We're a team passionate for Trucks and the Heavy Transport industry.

We are an independently owned and operated business operating out of purpose built workshops in Mount Maunganui and New Plymouth.

Truckworks are proud to have a team of highly qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics and Mechanical Engineers. We also have an exceptional, friendly and professional admin and accounts team.

We specialise in all makes and models of trucks and we love to undertake a variety of Engineering Projects easily customized to your specific requirements as well as regular repair, service, VCA/COF/LT400 or maintenance work.

How did Truckworks begin?

2016:

JV Mechanical Ltd is established by Josh

What's known today as Truckworks Mechanical & Engineering Ltd started as JV Mechanical Ltd, offering mobile heavy transport mechanical services throughout Mount Maunganui.

2018:

Truckworks Mechanical Ltd is established on Totara Street, Mount Maunganui

Through Josh's mechanical ability, tenacity, hard work and dedication to his customers, Truckworks Mechanical Ltd was established, opening at 155 & 153 Totara Street, Mount Maunganui.

Continuing to offer mobile mechanical and breakdown services, a permanent location for general servicing and repairs was established.

2020:

Truckworks Engineering is established

A few years later and demand saw the establishment of Truckworks Engineering at 49 Aviation Drive, Mount Maunganui.

All aspects of heavy transport engineering including chassis straightening, COF repairs, LT400 repairs and more became part of Truckworks' offering.

The new workshop provided a bigger, fully equipped workshop for larger scale projects taken on by our qualified & LT400 Certified Engineers.

2021:

Truckworks expands into New Plymouth

Truckworks expands to Josh's hometown where it all began. At 208 De Havilland Drive, Bell Block, New Plymouth, Truckworks opens their first Taranaki workshop.

2023 - Present:

Your trusted heavy transport mechanics and engineers

Truckworks Mount Maunganui's mechanical and engineering outfits merge onto one large premises at 28/32 MacDonald Street where they offer a full heavy transport mechanical and engineering service, operating 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Truckworks employ over 20 highly skilled, trained heavy diesel mechanics and engineers across their two locations in New Plymouth and Mount Maunganui.

They continue to go the extra mile for their customers and fleets and look forward to helping with your next project.
